Bevelled Circular Knives
Grind compatible bevelled circular knives up to Ø500 mm using the tangential grinding arrangement. The rotating head and controlled workholding support consistent bevel geometry around the blade.

Italian-made circular knife grinding machinery with Siemens PLC control, a programmable automatic working cycle and a Ø250 mm tangential grinding wheel. Supplied and supported Australia-wide by Tuckwell Machinery.
The MVM LT500 is an automatic circular knife grinding machine designed for bevelled circular knives up to Ø500 mm, as well as single and multiple counter-blades. Its rigid construction, motorised working axes and programmable grinding cycle provide the control needed for repeatable industrial sharpening.
A standard Ø250 mm tangential grinding wheel is complemented by an optional Ø150 mm face grinding wheel for suitable frontal-grinding applications. Siemens touch screen PLC control, precise electronic handwheel adjustment and variable table speed allow the grinding process to be configured around the knife geometry and required finish.

The LT500 is designed for industrial circular-knife work where controlled bevel grinding, accurate positioning and repeatable automatic cycles are important. The grinding setup should be selected to suit the blade geometry and material.
Grind compatible bevelled circular knives up to Ø500 mm using the tangential grinding arrangement. The rotating head and controlled workholding support consistent bevel geometry around the blade.
The machine accommodates single and multiple counter-blade arrangements. A suitable grinding-wheel and workholding configuration can be selected for the knife set and required edge.
Programmable cycles, PLC control and precision adjustment make the LT500 relevant to specialist sharpening workshops and production facilities maintaining circular cutting tools.
The LT500 combines a rigid machine structure with two motorised linear working axes and precise electronic control. The following are the principal machine features described by MVM.
Optional equipment allows the LT500 to be configured for different circular-knife and counter-blade requirements. The correct combination depends on the workpiece, grinding method and required finish.
The principal LT500 dimensions, grinding capacities and control features are shown below. Optional grinding-wheel and magnetic-table equipment is identified separately.
