The MVM PX Series is the first professional model in the MVM knife grinding range, combining automatic grinding control with the accuracy and repeatability required in professional industrial sharpening environments.
Available as the PX1000, PX1350 and PX1750, the range provides grinding lengths of 1,000 mm, 1,350 mm and 1,750 mm.
A PLC-programmable automatic working cycle, motorised grinding-wheel downfeed and automatic spark-out allow the PX to complete controlled, repeatable sharpening cycles with reduced manual adjustment.
The MVM PX uses a digital PLC programmer to control its automatic grinding cycle. The grinding wheel has motorised downfeed, allowing controlled material removal throughout the sharpening process.
The machine can automatically stop at the preset total downfeed and complete a spark-out cycle before the carriage finishes its cycle.
This level of automation supports consistent and repeatable sharpening while reducing repetitive manual adjustment by the operator.

The PX carriage operates at a variable speed of 1–20 m/min and is driven by a toothed belt to provide smooth movement throughout the grinding cycle.
Replaceable hardened-steel carriage guides support consistent movement, while the grinding head can be inclined when concave grinding is required.
The knife-holding chuck rotates from 0° to 90°, providing additional flexibility when setting up different industrial straight-knife sharpening jobs.
The PX can be configured with additional workholding, filtration and grinding equipment to suit different professional sharpening requirements.
A T-slot magnetic chuck is available for the PX1000 and supplied as standard on the PX1350 and PX1750.
Upgrade from the standard 2.2 kW grinding motor to a 3.7 kW motor where additional grinding power is required.
Optional clamping equipment is available for Tersa, Centrofix, Terminus, Kanefusa, Sinus and Weinig knife systems.
An open-field magnetic work surface is available for suitable carbide-tipped and HM workpieces.
An optional magnetic cleaner with rotating discs can be incorporated into the coolant filtration system.
Manual and automatic paper filtration options are available for additional coolant management.
