REKORD 500 CNC Circular Saw Blade Grinding Machine

Precision sharpening, re-toothing and chamfering for metalcutting circular saw blades, with guided CNC programming that makes accurate, repeatable grinding easier to manage.

Precision made more approachable

CNC Precision Without Complicated Programming

The REKORD 500 CNC is an industrial circular saw blade grinding machine designed for sharpening, re-toothing and chamfering metalcutting saw blades. It combines a rigid grinding platform with a 10-inch touchscreen and guided CNC controls, helping trained operators set up accurate tooth geometries without manually calculating every grinding movement.

For saw doctors, metal fabrication workshops and production facilities, that means a more straightforward way to maintain HSS saw blades, restore worn tooth profiles and repeat established grinding programs. Standard software supports DIN 1840 tooth forms A, AW, B, BW and C, individually programmable rake and clearance angles, and storage for up to 99 complete working cycles.

Optional software extends the machine to applications such as variable-pitch HSS blades, friction saws, solid carbide blades and restoration of blades with broken teeth. Tuckwell Machinery can help confirm the right configuration for your tooling, workload and workshop requirements.

Ease of use

Designed to Make Precision Grinding Easier

The REKORD 500 CNC brings accurate tooth grinding and practical workshop operation together. Its controls help trained operators set up, adjust and repeat jobs with confidence.

Guided 10-Inch Touchscreen

The panel PC provides a clear interface for entering and adjusting grinding parameters. Operators can work through the setup using the CNC controls rather than relying on manual calculations for every tooth.

Tooth Forms Calculated by CNC

The standard software supports DIN 1840 forms A, AW, B, BW and C. Rake and clearance angles can be programmed individually, while tooth depth can be adjusted within the manufacturer’s specified range.

Save 99 Complete Working Cycles

Store and recall up to 99 grinding programs. This is particularly useful for repeat jobs, reducing the need to enter the same settings each time a familiar blade returns for sharpening.

Precise Manual Adjustment

An electronic handwheel provides controlled positioning of the grinding slide. The CNC also displays the remaining working-cycle time, helping operators plan their next job.

A practical workflow

From Blade Setup to Repeatable Results

The guided controls make it easier to establish a consistent process for recurring sharpening work.

01

Enter the blade details

Select the tooth form and enter the relevant blade and grinding parameters using the touchscreen.

02

Set and check the geometry

Use the CNC calculations and individual angle settings to establish the required tooth profile. The electronic handwheel supports precise positioning.

03

Run the automatic cycle

Start the programmed grinding cycle and use the remaining-time display to monitor its progress. Machine operation remains subject to the manufacturer’s safety procedures.

04

Save the setup for next time

Store the complete working cycle for repeat jobs, then recall it when the same blade specification returns.

Core application

HSS Saw Blade Sharpening, Re-Toothing & Chamfering

The REKORD 500 CNC is built for metalcutting circular saw blades where tooth geometry and finish quality are critical. Its standard software supports sharpening and the creation of new DIN 1840 tooth forms A, AW, B, BW and C, as well as tooth chamfering.

Operators can program rake and clearance angles individually, adjust tooth depth within ±20% of the CNC-calculated value, and compensate for grinding-wheel thickness. These controls help maintain the required geometry when restoring blades or setting up new tooth profiles.

For workshops handling HSS blades with variable tooth pitches, optional software provides free programming of pitch variation. Optional configurations also extend the machine’s diameter range for larger HSS and friction saw blades.

Specialist CNC capabilities

Restore Worn or Damaged Saw Blades

The REKORD 500 CNC goes beyond routine sharpening. It can create new teeth and chamfer tooth profiles, helping specialist workshops restore blades rather than simply maintain an existing edge.

For blades with broken teeth, an optional cylindrical grinding cycle can grind down all the teeth in a programmable, fully automatic cycle before re-toothing. This gives saw doctors a controlled process for preparing damaged blades for further restoration.

Other optional software supports matched circular saw blades, custom tooth geometry storage, special tooth forms, and radial slot or scallop grinding on circular knives and circular blades. The appropriate software and tooling should be confirmed for each application.

Additional application

Solid Carbide Saw Blade Grinding

With the appropriate optional software and grinding-wheel setup, the REKORD 500 CNC can sharpen and re-tooth solid carbide circular saw blades. This extends its usefulness for specialist workshops working with high-wear metalcutting tooling.

Solid carbide is different from a conventional carbide-tipped (TCT) saw blade. For automatic sharpening of TCT woodworking and sawmill blades, Tuckwell also supplies the UT.MA AL805 / AL1200 circular saw blade sharpening machines. Our team can help determine which machine and configuration suits your blade material, tooth geometry and intended application.
